Deliveries to Canada disrupted

- Selling News

If you're a seller who ships to buyers in Canada, you should be aware of the postal strike in the country's postal service, Canada Post.

The strike action means that if you're sending items to Canada at this time there may be significant delivery delays to your customers. Deliveries via UPS and other courier companies aren’t affected.

Our colleagues at eBay Canada have put up this announcement which we'd advise you to read if you need further detail on the situation.

If your business could be affected by this, remember to keep your customers informed by:

1. Amending your listing description to point out that delivery may be delayed due to the postal strike
2. Once an item has been sold, reminding your customers that delivery delays may be expected

Please contact your delivery company (e.g. Royal Mail) for the latest updates.

Is the Canadian postal strike a potential blow to your business? You can discuss the matter with other sellers on our discussion boards.
